Course Overview
This course serves as an introduction to the work of the student affairs profession. Emphasis will be placed on the historical development of the profession, its functional areas, and its work with students.
* Since this was written for a different class, it is in a different format -- remember that you are to write yours as if including it in an application packet (see the syllabus). The reason that I include this is because it is excellent -- this student did not follow the format I used for my philosophy statement, but created her own approach, one that works well for her. I encourage you to consider both approaches as you consider your own approach to this assignment -- make it work for you!
